The “Congo, danger of resources” campaign aims to show how the natural resources of the Democratic Republic of Congo continue to fuel the War: Coltan, a mineral used in the electronics industry for the manufacture of capacitors in devices like mobile phones, computers, game consoles, digital cameras etc. do not benefit the Congolese people. The growing demand for Coltan benefit the armed groups that control the mines and exploit violently the population.
