IOSPHERA is a communication studio specialized in areas related to development, environment, social entrepreneurship, peace, human rights, humanitarian action, food security and access to health, among others.

IOSPHERA has been designing and creating projects to raise awareness on these issues for 10 years, as well as improving the communication – for education or fundraising – of institutions dedicated to promoting them.

IOSPHERA embodies a multidisciplinary professional team of specialists, that brings added value to NGOs and institutions, both in research and content creation, as in improving corporate image and developing communication tools.

Our clients are institutions, foundations, NGOs, educational institutions, international organizations or social businesses.

DSC00142~2~2Alix de Roten is founder and director at IOSPHERA. She is at the moment president of the Cultural Association Making Docs’ Barcelona section. She has directed, edited and produced several documentary films, and coordinated awareness campaigns for different NGOs in Spain, especially for the Red Cross (“Change your street, your country, you world”, campaign on the Millennium Goals, Harmony Peoples, campaign about indigenous economical and educational approaches, Green Health, campaign on the indigenous medicine in Ecuador, among others.). She focuses on investigation and contents. Alix has a Master degree in International Relations from The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, Switzerland [1989-1993], a Certificate in Global Latin American Studies from the University of Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Argentina [1996] and a Diploma in Audiovisual Direction and Production from the High Institute of Design and Image (IDEP), Barcelona, Spain [2001-2002]. She has worked as a Journalist at Radio Rhône, Radio Lac and Le Courrier, Sion and Geneva, Switzerland, [1994 – 1995]. She then joined the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and worked for several years as a Delegate in Colombia [1997 – 1999], as an Deputy Head at ICRC Regional Delegation in Guatemala City [1999], and then as a Researcher in Guatemala [2000] and at the ICRC Headquarters in Geneva [2001].

VaneVanessa Knorst is a Graphic designer, art director and visual artist, with a wide expertise in creating and developing graphic concepts and corporate and institutional images. Vanessa has an impressive range of technical skills and is capable of creating and developing best quality static and motion graphics, animation, or stop motion. She has also worked as an Art director in several short films and TV programmes. She works as art director and static & motion graphic designer at IOSPHERA. Vanessa graduated in Painting at the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná [EMBAP], Brasil [1997]. She then attended Academic Training in Graphic Design at the Federal University of Paraná [1999] and obtained a Postgraduate degree in contemporary Art History at EMBAP [2000], a Postgraduate degree in Film at Tuiuti University of Paraná [2003], a Master degree in Communication and Culture at Tuiuti University of Paraná [2003/2004] and a Post-graduate degree in Design and Television at Elisava School, Barcelona [2008]. Vanessa has a long work experience at a number of design and communication agencies like New Roman, Story and CO, Guión Comunicación Visual, Opus Multipla Comunicación Integrada and Lumen Design. She has won several Awards for her works, as for example: 3rd prize: Poster for Brazilian House Museum · 2000; the 5th prize: Philips Award for New Talent – 1997; and the 1st prize: Poster for Winter Festival of Ouro Preto · 1997.

elzElzine Aristide is a Graphic designer, photographer and visual artist. She is working and experimenting with audiovisual media. She has been the personal assistant to the video artist Eugenia Balcells and has been in charge of technical management of her exhibition projects. Elzine is founder of Jalajala – motion & static graphics studio, specializing in video, motion graphics and audiovisual performances, and works as a graphic and multimedia designer as well as art director at IOSPHERA. Elzine graduated with a meritorious thesis in Graphic Design at the National University of Colombia, Bogotá, Faculty of Arts [1997]. She then constantly improved her knowledge through academic training. For example, she took a specialization course in photography and a specialization course on writing about photography at the Institut d’Estudis Fotògrafics de Catalunya, [2000], and obtained a postgraduate degree in theory and aesthetics in contemporary art at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Escola de Doctorat [2002], and a diploma in Contemporary treatments of the image and video and photography at the Escola Massana, Centre of Art and Design, Barcelona [2003].
